TIPS
  • The aim of this ROM is to keep it as close to the stock firmware and light as possible. Because this way the ROM is the most stable you can get, and also you don't have any apps that run in the background that can have an influence on the performance and/or battery life of the ROM.
    .
  • See next Post for the Aroma Add-on Package, so that you can choose which Samsung Apps / functions you want back.
You can use this Aroma add-on package at any time (multiple times) after flashing this rom to add / remove features (So you can first use the rom bare-bone and look for yourself which app/feature you want to have back). DO NOT install apps that you do not use to save battery and improve performance
    .
  • All apps available on Google Play Store are NOT included in the ROM (or Aroma add-on package), you can download those by yourself in the Play Store.
    .
  • Do not restore apps from older android version through titanium backup, install the apps from Play Store (so the version of apps installed are compatible with the ROM version of android) and only use Titanium backup to restore the app data for non system apps.
    .
  • I am not much of a fan of the Xposed Framework plugins and do not use it, however it should work on this ROM. If you prefer to have these directly in the ROM and incase you think of any features you can send your suggestions with complete details so that I can look into it (No promises made here).
    .
  • Refer to post #4 for further mods and tips

Installation
  1. Check your bootloader and modems, you may have to update to the latest one for your device (below XXXXNE5 - KitKat will have issues)
  2. Backup your device, in case you want to revert back.
  3. Delete all folders starting with a period ('.') on your internal sdcard (This is a must if upgrading from a kitkat or Stock TW ROM, these are files created by android system that can cause issues)
  4. Factory reset (Do not use manual wipes, If using Philz recovery do not use 'Clean to Install a New ROM) Absolutely required as this is a S6 port
  5. Flash the ROM
  6. 9515 users flash the kernel patch attached to post #4 before first boot
  7. Reboot
  8. If coming from any other ROM, select 'Setup as new device' and also unselect backup/restore app data while setting up the ROM. You can use Super Backup from PlayStore to backup & restore call log, contacts & SMS. Once the ROM is setup you can enable backup/restore.
Enjoy!!! and if you like the ROM, don't forget to give some love by pressing the Thanks button

If you are having issues after flashing the ROM, I would suggest that you download and flash the latest lollipop firmware (recommend the one for your region) from sammobile and flash it using odin 3.7 or 3.9 (3.10 seems to be buggy for the S4). Do a factory reset in TWRP (do not do manual wipes) and then flash the ROM.

If you have a KNOX-enabled device, using CF-Auto-Root will trip the KNOX WARRANTY VOID status !
If your device storage is encrypted, using CF-Auto-Root will wipe your data !
If you have locked bootloaders, flashing one of these will probably brick your device – with the exception of Nexus devices, which will usually automatically “OEM unlock” and wipe your data !

Unlock the Nexus bootloader

Before you begin you must unlock your phone’s bootloader. Follow this step-by-step guide.

The bootloader is a piece of software on a computer that loads the operating system. By default it is locked for security reasons. No application or user can access the bootloader and therefore cannot tamper with any of the files in the OS. However, tampering with system fi les is precisely what rooting and hacking involves, so we need to unlock the bootloader before we can do anything else.
Unlocking the bootloader wipes your phone so it’s best to do it before you set the phone up for the fi rst time, even if you don’t intend to root straight away. Unlocking in Marshmallow is slightly different to older devices as you need to enable it in Android first. After it’s done, you’ll also see a brief warning about the unlocked state every time you boot.

STEPS TO UNLOCK:-

1. Enable unlocking

In Android enable the Developer settings by
going to Settings>About, then tapping the Build number seven times. Now hit back and enter the Developer options. Enable OEM unlocking and USB debugging. You can now turn your phone off.

2. Enter the bootloader

Launch the bootloader by holding the power and volume down buttons. Connect your phone to your PC and launch the command line. Change the directory to where fastboot is installed and type oem fastboot unlock.

3. You’re unlocked

Unlocking takes a few seconds, so don’t touch the phone while it completes, then reboot the device. You will see the warning about the device being unlocked and an open padlock icon on the Google boot screen.

Enjoy your Unlocked Boatloaded Nexus

Save battery by killing background services - Hackers Trick

Sweep your device for battery-hogging apps that are running in the background

We all want to make the battery on our Android devices last a little longer, but this isn’t always easy when apps and services run in the background without your knowledge. Maybe this is because an app is misbehaving, or perhaps you’re in the bad habit of never closing your apps properly. [root] Servicely is an app that periodically checks what’s running in the background and if it finds a service that appears on your [root] Servicely ‘hit-list,’ it kills that service. Since [root] Servicely scans the background only, you shouldn’t encounter any problems with the apps you’re interacting with in the foreground. For example, if you add Facebook to [root] Servicelys hit-list, it won’t kill this app when it’s visible on screen. However, once you send Facebook to the background, the next time [root] Servicely performs its sweep, it’ll kill the Facebook app. Please note that [root] Servicely does require root.

You Must Also Check Out:- Boost your battery with IFTTT recipes

Steps to Save Battery:-

  • Create your hit-list

Download [root] Servicely from Google Play, then launch it and grant super user permissions. To tell [root] Servicely which apps to kill if it catches them running in the background, tap ‘Add a new app to the hit-list’ and then tap all the apps you want to add.

  • Identify problem apps

Pay particular attention to the Running Services area as this is helpful for targeting apps that are running in the background without your knowledge. Also be on the lookout for apps marked ‘Can wake-up the device’ as these are the ones that can really eat into your battery.

  • Enable [root] Servicely

After selecting some apps, create your hit-list by tapping the checkmark. To double check the contents of your hit-list, go to the main screen and swipe to Hit-List. Tap the slider in the upper right and [root] Servicely will now monitor the services running on your device.

  • Change interval period

By default, your running services are checked every 60 seconds. To change this, tap Interval Period… and enter a new value. If you find [root] Servicely is killing apps you’re still using, try turning the Aggressive Process Termination slider off.

  • Pro features

You can unlock additional features by purchasing the Pro version. To upgrade, tap Upgrade to Pro and follow the instructions. Once you’ve upgraded to Pro, you can set up the app so it automatically starts whenever you turn your device on (Start on Boot).

  • Advanced mode

The pro version also lets you Disable Individual Services, which is useful if there are features of apps you never user. However, disabling services randomly can cause problems with your device so make sure you know exactly what a service does, before you disable it.
