March 10 - 2014 was the date Apple released the first official iOS 7.1 although developers/users already premiered the Beta versions up till Beta 4.
Now here's the thing, the reason why i said you shouldn't update to iOS 7.1 is because you'll end up having an iPhone/iPad that can't be Jailbroken(atleast for now) based on the recent developments on the new OS.
It took me a while before laying my hands on apple product because of this so called Encrypted data issh, let me not bug you, but i just want you to know the fundamental reason i think staying glued to your Jailbroken iOS is better than updating.
Today i downloaded some .ipa files to install on my iPhone 4 and it was successful on my iPhone so suddenly i just decided to Update to the so called anticipated iOS 7.1 and BOOM! the apps disappeared.
I checked my iTunes apps and they are still right there, i tried re-installing them and Yes! it installed but wheres it on my iPhone ? No where. So i went to research if i can just Jailbreak it and i found out it's not possible plus i can't even downgrade :/ .
Here's the latest news on Jailbreak for iOS 7.1 and i was dismayed. From Evad3rs Official website
Evad3rs team confirmed, that Apple closed all vulnerables for Evasi0n7 utility. You can't make Jailbreak 7.1 on iPhone 5S, 5C, 5, 4S, iPad Air (5),4,3,2 and iPod Touch 5-Gen. Jailbreak 7.1 for iPhone 4 coming soon. Wait confirmed links.Though i got happy when i found out there's a jailbreak for iPhone 4! However it's still not official, i eventually found out again that there's absolutely no difference in the iOS 7.1 with it's predecessor iOS 7.0.6. According to reports, updating to iOS 7.1 will only make more sense when you're using iPhone 5 or 5S.
Jailbreaking is sweet, Apple shouldn't kill that vibe!
